Earth Day is Coming!

The Lake Hills Neighborhood Association Annual Earth Day Celebration is focused on what we can do to make our planet better for us all. This year better energy use is a leading theme with practical solutions to reduce our carbon footprint – affordably and sustainably. We can’t showcase everything, but we will have samples covering a wide range.

Presentations:
Electric cars by their owners. Ask that question that’s burning away inside, like what about snow?

  • Electric motorcycle and electric assist tandem. What, a TANDEM?
  • Home heat pumps. Yes they work for heating AND cooling!
  • 300 Trees! Rumor is they will be bringing saplings to plant.
  • Trees for livability
  • Yes! East King County PUD
  • Kids, plant your own garden! Starter kits for kids.
  • Gardening tips 
    King County Library. They usually give books to kids and find out from the librarian how to find real information
  • Samena Swim Club. Did you know they have treadmills that power the electric grid?
  • LHNA Park Walks. Yes, park walks return!!!
