It’s Voting Season!
Lake Hills Candidate Forums start Thursday! We are planning 3 Candidate Forums for you this year. Our goal is to help everyone vote, and to give you a chance to meet and hear each candidate! So mark your calendars for these 3 meetings. All will be held on Zoom, so you can watch from home while wearing your fuzzy slippers! All meetings are from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm. The LHNA Picnic is back!
First, apologies for the website failure before one of our most important events of the year, but we are taking steps to prevent future outages. The picnic was fantastic and well attended. Good food, good friends and a few new members showed their neighborhood spirit and had the opportunity to speak directly to candidates for various offices as well as a number of elected officials who attended. Local businesses contributed supplies and funds to ensure the picnic was a success. It’s a Walk in the Park!
When: Saturday March 5, 10 AM, rain or shine Where: Larson Lake Blueberry Farm parking lot on 148th Ave NE What: We’ll take a leisurely stroll around Larson Lake with an optional stop for coffee to the north. keep an eye out for wildlife as we circumnavigate the lake, and perhaps take an extended tour of the greenbelt to Phantom lake. Dogs (well behaved and leashed) are welcome. This is one of our favorite walks.
The Future of Lake Hills Housing!
This Thursday evening we have a great discussion planned. What will our neighborhood look like in 20 years? What do we want it to look like? There are so many factors involved, and it’s already changing. Our prices are climbing sky high, and there is new construction popping up throughout Lake Hills. How are you feeling about it? We’ve invited a great slate of speakers, including Bellevue Mayor Lynne Robinson to discuss our comprehensive plan as it relates to Lake Hills; Chris Samms from MN Custom Homes, a builder currently constructing new homes here; a discussion on architecture regarding building with scale and a sense of time and place; and Mindy Garner, Coldwell Banker Bain, on housing prices in Lake Hills.
